Special Control Unit

The Willard Control Unit was first developed over 50 years ago, whilst the components within both control unit models have been updated several times, the excellent proven quality, durability and reliability remains unchanged. This special model Willard Control Unit can be used to individually operate all Willard Heated Spatula types 1EM, 1E, 1EC, 2E, 3E, 4E, 5E and the Grooved E. together with all hand Lining Irons types: 6E, 7E, 8E and 9E in all sizes and the new flexible blade heated spatula. The optional Temperature Monitor can also be used.

A large, easy to read dial is used to set the contact surface temperature of the appropriate tool between ambient (room) temperature and 150°C (300°F) in 1°C steps. A red diode on the face of the Control Unit, illuminates and pulses to indicate when heat is being delivered to the selected hand tool. Once the pre-set temperature has been achieved the red diode ceases to illuminate .  The set temperature is constantly maintained throughout the period of operation by further pulses of power for maximum consistency of temperature, when this occurs the red diode will once again illuminate and pulse.

All units incorporate the proven safety cut-out circuits with input and output fused over-rides.
