The Rotronic HP22 is ideal for swift and accurate spot-checking of conditions in museums, galleries and archives. Very similar in operation to the fixed probe HP 21, it will accept a variety of probes and accessories, for example: the standard HC2A-S and sword probes HC2-HS28 (standard length), or HC2-HS42 (longer length). Fitting a probe via an extension cable allows probes to be inserted into otherwise inaccessible spaces. Please note: a probe must be acquired and fitted to operate the unit.
A hand held unit is a versatile complement to and backup for fixed position data loggers in public spaces, on and off-site storage areas and conservation studios. The unit can be used to take comparative measurements at different heights in a room, adjacent to air outlets, in corridors and doorways etc, to build up a detailed picture of the environmental structure within buildings. A sword probe can be used in paper stacks and other difficult to reach areas.
The backlit, liquid crystal display shows relative humidity and temperature. Trend indicator arrows reveal changes in conditions, allowing measurements to be taken when these have stabilised. A calculation of dew point temperature is also available.
