Willard’s lighting range in recent years has expanded and been updated to utilise the latest in LED technology to achieve an impressive CRI of 99.
What is CRI in lighting?
Colour Rendering Index (CRI) is a measurement of how natural colour appearance renders under an artificial white light source, compared with that of natural sunlight. The index scale is measured from 0-100, with 100 indicating that colours of objects under the light source appear the same as they would under natural sunlight.
Until recently, most LED’s have not been able to achieve an index greater than 90. However, Willard now have exclusive access to the very latest LED technology and are able to offer luminaires with a close to perfect CRI index of 99, making our lighting range the most accurate choice for colour matching and retouching in conservation.
These LED’s also satisfy the sustainable and green focus that Willard are committed to. The LED’s use just a fraction of the energy associated with more traditional fluorescent lamps and have a life expectancy of approximately 50,000 hours, which is the equivalent of 25 years (based on a typical use of 8 hours a days 5 a week!), which makes them the most sustainable choice for illuminating any studio with quality colour rendering light. Ceiling Mounted Studio Luminaire
This luminaire is available in several different size combinations to suit any studio requirement and can be supplied in a fixed ceiling location or mounted on our Willard suspended ceiling track system where luminaires can be either fixed height or fitted with a suspension pantograph to facilitate a balanced fall and rise height adjustment
The featured luminaire is fitted with a fully dimmable bi-colour system comprising both 5000K & 6500k lamps, which enables the user to select just the right colour temperature to suit a specific application via the smooth stepless dimming control. The luminaires are also available fitted with a fully dimmable single colour temperature (either 5000k or 6500k) if preferred.
Studio Luminaire with floor stand
The luminaires can be manufactured in a compact size or larger sizes to suit any studio requirements, all mounted on robust height adjustable floor stands with fitted lockable castors for maximum flexibility.
